Chris King, the Game Director for Archetype Entertainment’s upcoming RPG Exodus, claims that “great RPGs are about agency” while the company revealed it will be pushing gender ideology through the game.
Additionally, it was revealed that the game will be pushing gender ideology as players will be given the option to play as a male or female character, but the character will remain Jun Aslan.
When they did it to Commander Shepherd in Mass Effect, I didn't see this big an uproar. Games do it now, having male and female characters with the same name.
I'm not sure Exodus won't have a lot of that stuff in it- and if it does, I'm not sure it will be a necessarily positive depiction, given the game is exploring a lot of crazy sci-fi ideas- but this is just a studio saving themselves time and money to not have to double record nearly identical lines and be able to call the character by his or her first name. I don't trust any studio in this arena either, but this is not one of these things.
I’m getting sick and tired of gender ideology. Wizards of the Coast is broken.

Or was that different for some reason?
John Shepard and Jane Shepard are two different individuals.

When Mas Effect released did the studio brag about how the game was going to promote gender ideology? That is the difference
So, one more game to ignore in 2027. Shame as this initially looked interesting.
