Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has been receiving a lot of awards this season for its turn-based RPG, a genre largely abandoned by a lot of big studios that people love. However, now the Indie Game Awards has removed the game from its nomination due to a small use of generative AI in early development. Ironically, the gen AI that was experimented with did not even make the game.
