Former Superman actor Dean Cain, who played the character on the Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman show, said that James Gunn’s comments about Superman being an immigrant will hurt his film’s box office grosses. This Substack is reader-supported.
I think it's awesome that one of the most American-themed superheroes, whose motto is "Truth, Justice, and the American Way", is an adopted immigrant who assimilated and grew up treasuring those most American of values. People like that, who protect the little guy, show kindness, and don't tolerate cruelty, help to make America great.
Technically illegal undocumented alien. Did not apply to the US embassy on Krypton. However, he was a legitimate refugee seeking escape from an exploding regime. The Kent's are guilty of forged papers. Clark should have reported himself to I.C.E. and they should have sent him back to Krypton once the technology was sufficient to get him there. Lex Luthor was right. Mind you his best friend is a millionaire vigilante that goes around taking the law into his own hands. Oliver Green is a champagne socialist. Catwoman is a burglar. The Joker has not had a successful treatment plan and keeps getting "released" into the care of the community. And the most ridiculous thing of all is that Clark can live in metropolis on a print media journalist's wage.
Gotta love modern sensibilities virtue signaling. Also thank you for putting up all of Gunn's joke posts. I hope he is on a register for them and would be interesting if he visited the real life version of Mr Roarke's Fantasy Island.

Refugee, not immigrant.
Even that is a stretch.
Foundling rescued from a lifeboat.
The Gunns need 24/7 PR support and a roll of duct tape for their mouths.
"Refugee, not immigrant."
A refugee is a type of immigrant.
A baby doesn't migrate, illegally or not. Also, he was raised CHRISTIAN.
"Pro immigrant" thusly, implicitly means there are BORDERS.
Also... the most fences I saw was at the premiere of Superman here in Hollywood! No one could get it!!!

Straight white men immigrants who assimilate perfectly, speak English, and love America better than any other country.
Okay.
