RUMOR: Alex Kurtzman Will Be Out As Star Trek Lead In July 2025 After Execs Angry At Collapse In Trek-Related Merchandise
Alex Kurtzman’s current iteration of Star Trek, which fans have dubbed “NuTrek,” seems to be in a lot of trouble according to rumors circulated from an alleged CBS contact. Reception of Nu Trek is apparently so bad that it’s rumored Alex Kurtzman will be out of his position at Star Trek come July 2025.
Star Trek, in its current iteration, has not made fans happy. Star Trek: Discovery ratings were dismal for the already struggling Paramount+ network, leading to its early cancelation when there was a planned 7 seasons of the show.
