Short Fiction Magazines Asimov's, Analog, And Fantasy & Science Fiction Bought By New Florida-Based Investment Group
For a long time now there have been three major magazines in fantasy and science fiction: Asimov’s Science Fiction, Analog Science Fiction And Fact, and Fantasy And Science Fiction. They’ve been struggling in recent years, but the three magazines have been purchased by a new owner.
The short fiction magazine market in science fiction and fantasy has been in dire straits in recent years. Between Amazon removing subscription options and gutting the list of people who followed the magazines to the addition of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives destroying the editorial direction of these SF/F staples, many were wondering if these long-time brands were going to go by the wayside, especially given Fantasy and Science Fiction’s recent track record of barely publishing over the last year and a half.
Now, it’s been revealed that all three magazines have been purchased by a new investment group looking to turn them around.
