Actress Daisy Ridley, who plays Rey in Disney’s Star Wars sequel trilogy, recently claimed that all of the Star Wars films are political.Fandom Pulse is a reader-supported publication.
That would be a great first step. And then Disney would have to sell the rights back to Lucas. After that there's a chance I'd give anything Star Wars my money again.
It's about good v. evil. I think she never watched any of the original movies AT ALL. Sure the "Trade Federation" was a strangely veiled euphemism for corporate interests, I suppose... but it was not the focus of the story, just a piece that set up the main arc.
But Daisy thinks she did a good job as Rey. Sorry, lady. You sucked. The movies sucked. And MY canon only has 6 movies. Yours are not canon.
Star Wars movies are not "about politics". They all have political motifs, most have vague political themes ("defeat an evil government"), but only Andor, as far as I can remember, as actually "political" -- as in, about the politics in its plot and character development -- through and through. So sure, they all touch on politics in some way, just like they all touch on romance, and friendship, and a dozen other things.
The only way Star Wars rights the ship is to fire Kathleen Kennedy.
..and everyone she ever worked with. :-)

Lucas should buy it back for pennies on the dollar.
These movies will be feminist propaganda garbage like all the Disney films have been.

Clearly that vapid woman has no idea what SW is about. It’s not like GL was secretive about it. It’s a family drama.
If the original Star Wars were made today (fight scene between Obi Wan & Vader): https://old.bitchute.com/video/kKNuyQFXNrvh [6:11mins]
Not enough jump cuts and snap zooms;)
Fair point. You can actually see what’s going on.
Every interesting Star Wars story was told between 1977 and 1983.
I like Rogue One despite it's flaws.
Ridley a dumb fagot bitch!
