Card, like Tolkien, will be remembered long after Tor & Mainstream Publishers, the Dragon Awards, Gaiman, Martin, Scalzi, and Fandom are forgotten and become dust.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on Card. Even when I thought some of his political positions kind of boomercon, like supporting the Iraq war, Orson Scott Card’s stature and skill as a writer were always beyond dispute in my opinion. And he’s proven wiser than me on the gay marriage issue (I used to be a libertarian about that but no more)

Proof that Dragon Con is infested, but not yet skin-suited. I hope DC regulars take notice and act. ID the infestors, shine a light, and boot them.

Card's Books will be remembered long after his detractors lie forgotten. He will be memorialised with accolades, and they shall be buried with their waifu pillows and half-finished containers of Boxed Wine.

I love his books. The Homecoming Saga and the Alvin Maker Series were other ones I really enjoyed. If you want a fantasy/magic American pioneer story, especially to give your kids, the Alvin Maker series is great.
