"Daniel Craig brought to Bond was so unique and strong and probably unmatchable. He’s probably the ultimate James Bond." Red flags for me, but then again the James Bond for me growing up was Pierce Brosnan. Can we get an Ian Fleming period and book accurate James Bond? That'd be nice.
Sadly, while I really enjoyed Brosnan's Bond, Pierce was nothing like what Ian Fleming wrote. In terms of physical appearance, Craig is probably the closest to what Fleming's bone looked like. The only Bond movie where Bond is what Fleming actually wrote is probably From Russia With Love. The Fleming Bond didn't rely on gadgets. The stories were solid, situation-based vehicles that reflected real world politics and situations. Bond never saved the planet and never engaged in ridiculous car chases. I doubt modern audiences would enjoy a serious, true to Fleming, Bond movie. What passes for most entertainment now is eye candy, empty of any real value.
Very true. Moonraker was about missiles and not space stations. Spy who loved me is hotel insurance fraud through arson. An ex-boyfriend is mentioned which is Karl Stromberg. Love the Bond films but most are not the books. Dr No killed by bat guano, Blofeld in you only live twice is running a Japanese death garden. It would be interesting to see a real bond based on the books. Maybe in the BOND-E-VERSE they could do an elseworlds :P
Villeneuve totally trashed the characters, plot and details of Frank Herbert's iconic Dune novel. If this James Bond films is as humorless as the rest of of Villeneuve's films, it will be another bomb alongside most of the Craig films. Seeing how poorly he cast the leads in his Dune films, I shudder to think who play Bond and the usual leading characters. RIP James Bond.

Sure.
We trust him.
Sure we do.
"Honoring" means keeping some of the names the same.
That is all.
We know what's coming. I'm not buying.
Calling it right now: Timothee Chalamet will be cast as Bond.
I like Chalamet's acting ability, but he's too young and it would become as Razorfist once said 'License to Twink'.

Actor-wise, who would make a good Bond these days? I have no idea!
Villenueve is slightly promising. Dune has been decent to good so far. But… it’s Amazon. So 90% chance of crap unfortunately.
