Grant Curtis, one of the producers on the upcoming Fantastic Four: First Steps affirmed that Sue Storm is the leader of the Fantastic Four in the film. This Substack is reader-supported.
Reed Richards was always the front-man. If The Invisible Woman was "arguably" the leader then why did she call her number two "Mr Fantastic"? The use of the opener "arguably" shows Curtis knows she's full of it. While unfair, Sue started life as the Lois Lane of Marvel. Byrne upped her status to "Woman" in the 80's and Marvel did a better job of boosting her cred from that point on. Still, Mr Fantastic was the undisputed leader of the FF from any angle you choose to examine the book. If you want to shift he dynamic, at least own that. Don't try to retcon something that simply didn't happen. In fact, why not make a movie about the shift in that dynamic? I know - because that would be hard.
Duh. Anybody who saw the trailers knows that this is another feminist M-She-U movie.
Pascal has to be nice because he's not a good actor and needs others to make the She-movie watchable.
