I backed a lot of books on IGG and I'm fine with using it if I like the creator but platforms like FMC are much better and there's always the D2C route with your website which is what any creator with any savy should be working towards.

D2C=direct to customer?

What software/apps can be used to do this, and what payment processor is being used? Could Gabpay be plugged into this?

D2C is direct to consumer. WordPress to make a website and you can use Lulu to print books and have them fulfill. There's a lot of ways to go about it other than that especially if you fulfill in house.

I could probably write a book filled with what I DON'T know about crowdfunding. I was going to share my graphic novel on Arkhaven, then, when it's ready, launch campaigns on Fund My Comic, Kickstarter and IGG, possibly using Rippasend for fulfillment.

What I get from this article is that it might not be worth even doing business with IGG, even though I've backed campaigns there before. Sounds like a big enough headache and timesuck WITHOUT them pulling the plug because my GN doesn't adequately represent sexual deviancy or something.

Is Comicsgate a cult of short-sighted backstabbers? That's what it looks like based on this information.

Honestly, I think Indiegogo is damned stupid, not to mention criminal. They are an alternate financing platform, and if they aren't ethical enough to do their job, they should be sued out of existence.

I have a deep loathing of trust and safety departments. They are neither safe nor trustworthy.

If you run a business and you aren't performing as you should, you shouldn't be in business.
