Should we point out that, yes, Kal-El was from another world. But he was adopted by the Kents.

He was uniquely American, and adopted the American Way of life.

Kal-El assimilated to the local culture. The opposite of many of today's immigrants who colonize the local culture.

Boy that scene where he smashes a bunch of stuff screaming at Lex Luthor about where is Super Dog did not make him look kind.

Gunn’s Red/Blue state comment pretty much dooms this movie.

I will avoid this dumpster fire of a movie. Superman is not a story about immigration. What a silly man.

Weekend word of mouth will dictate if this film bifurcates the audience. If it does split off people, then the DCU is well and totally screwed. Supergirl won't course correct enough to fix it, and Lanterns is not a film, so neither are going to hit like this film could. This dunderhead is his own worst enemy with his unquenchable narcissism and ever-running pie-hole.

Superman is heroic and aspirational. Period, dot. If Gunn couldn't wrap his head around those simple concepts over three years, then he'll never understand this character.

This clown from The Times is a clickbait journalist with TDS, just like many of the cretins from Penske Media (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penske_Media_Corporation). Make sure to check all the rags this company owns.

Is Gunn a loudmouth narcissist who gets trolled at every turn on press tours? Sure is.

Should he have a handler who understands PR? Sure should.

Should WB refuse to be interviewed by Penske Media outlets? Hard "yes".

The Tom Cruise response on his recent press tour should be applied when anything political appears from a journalist: "We're here to talk about our movie."

Superman was created in the late 1930s by two Jewish men. Again we find the theme of the outsider, the outcast, the immigrant who arrives from another planet and must hide his identity from the rest of society.

“Only Jews could have created a story based on the premise that all you need is to assume a gentile attitude to hide in the sunlight.”
