I have been collecting comics with my father since I was 4 or 5. Obviously he was doing the heavy lifting at first. I grew up in the 80's and 90's. Saw a ton of cool characters be born. Grew to love so very many of them. I fail to understand why we can't just have that nostalgia fuel that we all so want.
Why does everything have to be race or gender swapped? Are you telling me that no one can come up with a cool new non-caucasian or male character?
Is the only way to get female or ethnic characters in front of an audience is to do swaps with established popular characters? Are all your characters so weak that they need to steal to be relevant?
What about the many amazing female and ethnic characters that exist? Why are we not seeing them in our movies and shows? How about Storm, Cloak, Night Thrasher, Blue Marvel, War Machine, Spectrum, Mile Morales ect...
If not them how about a new character that checks that fills these rolls? This gender and race swapping thing is so tired, lazy, pandering, dishonest, greedy, virtue signaling that I am find I am never excited about a new movie or series anymore regarding Marvel.

Connors has been portrayed as a white guy in several other adaptations, including the best known Rhys Ifans version. this is one thing. Regular Kurt Connors isn't going anywhere. most people will know the TASM version as the definitive one. this wont change anything
