Yet again and again the "modern audience " didn't pitch up as usual to save their show.

I use to think Unicorns were rare and then they introduced us to "the modern audience" the rarest of creatures in all of existence,

No no, that's not how this needs to be done. Everyone involved in this should be fired and investigated for misuse of public funds, starting with the head of the BBC and its entire Board. Then perhaps BBC could be rebuilt and hope to regain at least a little bit of public trust.

Agreed! Punish those fools who purposely destroyed a classic science fiction series.

I think you have a sanity or an adult bias. It's not going to work here. Adulting is hard.

You're not worn but you know they will never do that b/c mgt is just as twisted and perverse as the actors and directors.

Time for them to try a new, more "woker" angle.

And more comb-overs.

That'll do it.

In my humble opinion, Doctor Who has been struggling for a long time. The last truly good Doctors were Eccleston and Tennant.

If they really are looking at yet another female DR it means the BBC has learned nothing and needs more pain and suffering.

I would argue that Davies really jumped the woke shark back with the 4th season of Torchwood. An entire episode was composed of a homosexual romance flashback. Season 3, Children of Earth had a messed up storyline and ending, but Miracle Day killed the live action franchise. Davies and his backers did not learn the lesson then and I suspect he wont now when Dr Who goes on sabbatical.

CORRECTION:

The BBC's struggling science fiction series Doctor Who has finally gotten rid of its lead gay/woke actor, as Ncuti Gatwa is confirmed as axed from the role after two epically bad seasons.

I know what the BBC really needs, more gay representation!

After all 1 in 2 people are gay in real life right?

This i really the BBC's fault because they have not properly disciplined Davies for his failure. RT Davies an Gatwa are simply being their ideological selfs and they've not tried to hide this at all so it really falls on the management at BBC for failing to properly discipline these employees who fail and continue to fail to do their GD jobs,.
