Warhammer is lost, then our job is to stop caring about it and to create something new. We can outlast and out-create these people.

We just need to create a new Warhammer of sorts to replace it, one that the cancel pigs won't steal from us.

I don't think Britain is as left wing as he thinks it is.

Honestly he sounds like someone who doesn't understand 40k. Which makes him as or more dangerous than the woke he is trying to push back against.

His argument that the universe is set up so that any faction can fight any faction is absolutely correct. That's one of the hallmarks of 40k and Warhammer Fantasy. Constant infighting, factioning, shifting alliances, etc. Hence you get the Puritans and other groups within the Inquisition, etc. 1000 Space Marine Chapters who often fight each other, the repeating heresies within the Ministorum, etc. There's a strong marketing angle to that. You can pick a team and fight almost anyone else.

While that is very much true. That is another over simplification. Remember there are Necrons are not only tolerated but are on good terms with the Blood Angels for they returned long lost relics. Likewise some craft worlds are on good terms with the Ultramarines should memory serve. T'au and imperial governors in a few sectors trade provided no one try and convert the other.

The issue is that the ruinous powers and the woke agenda map almost one to one. Meaning the Warhammer settings ultimately will reject them. As we wish to be the heroes that rise to the occasion.

One way to look at Woke, aka critical intersectional race and gender theory weoponized with non-interrogatable packets, is as a closing of loopholes.

CIRG cannot stand anyone with even half a brain challenging its fact claims or it's moral hypotheses. ANY allowance of any Non-Narrative storytelling, or public speech allows a reasonably bright child to wonder, "well, if this is false or wicked or ugly, why is that, which which follows directly from it, not also false, etc., but true, or approved of, or beautiful?"

"That makes no sense. What else..."

I’m with you, there is a huge difference between the old left wing which built national healthcare and council housing for the British people, and today’s left. You can disagree with those policies but like the monarchy, they enjoy wide consensus support among the British people.

I seem to recall Johnny Rotten saying that the old punks of the 70s and 80s would be horrified at the left of today.

I can't recall the history exactly, but I'd bet that 40k grew out of the surge of creativity in the UK that resulted in the new wave of british heavy metal, 2000AD, etc. The left of that time was anti-authoritarian, but they were reading Christopher Lasch and Hobsbawm, not modern Queer theory.

Culture and politics have changed so much since then. I’m old enough to remember when the Sex Pistols were playing live! Short lived but very influential. They broke up after five dates in America, first in Atlanta at the 688 club, another in Tulsa Oklahoma in the old Cains ballroom. I think they also played in San Francisco, probably the Warfield. Smaller venues where people could get rowdy. That’s it! Then they were done. I think they put out two LPs and then Rotten did his own thing.

This Brit loathes the NHS and I am not alone. The left have been a ruinous cancer in Britain for far too long.

I have met him a few times and had chats with him (which is basically listening to him talk, which is fine, because he has ideas worth hearing). Really smart guy. Very nice. Very interesting person.

He's right. These cultural Marxists aim to destroy anything that doesn't fit their insane dogma. Instead of bending the knee to these freaks we need to all take a stand and with one voice tell them to 'f*ck off'

I don't really care about left o right, but I don't like what GW did by putting politics in the lore of the game (just from nowhere female Custode). That's why I unsubscribed to Warhammer+, I still think there is salvation, Space Marines II and Henry Cavill showed the way.

I think saying this author misunderstands both the Uk and warhammer.

Britain May be left wing compared to the USA but yo argue that the Conservative Party is left with is absurd.

Also this seems to misunderstand the satirical history behind the warhammer 40k universe.

There should be a simple test. Look at the Conservative Party today and compare it to the Conservatives of 50 or 100 years ago. Do they have the same beliefs/values?

If you examine the USA, the 'conservatives' of today would be unrecognizable to those of the 1950s. Similarly with Canada, where the main 'conservative' party is clearly liberal on everything. Keynesian economics, welfare, mass immigration, multiculturalism, gender politics, free trade, etc. The "trans" issue is perhaps the one area that they haven't accepted, but give it ten years.
