Robert Picardo has very little influence outside of Star Trek, but if you look at his X feed it's just like Mark Hamill in that he seems to be a paid DNC shill. Why do sci-fi actors do this?
It’s not like there’s not right-wing actors doing the same thing. I don’t like politics and my hobbies mixing but actors and writers are just humans at the end of the day. They’ll have an idea of what’s right and stick by it, even when misguided. Generally, I try to stay away from checking the social media of writers and actors I like. I prefer to distance the work from the creator of it. It’s the only way you can keep enjoying books and movies nowadays
I do the same. I’d rather not know, so I mostly don’t look. I don’t really have a problem with artists having opinions I disagree with—until it affects their art. When they start shoving it down my throat, esp in a disingenuous way, I’m done with them and everything they touch.
Press "Delete" on The Doctor's database file. Into /dev/null with the rest of Trek.

Another boomer screeching as he circles the drain.
