In the months following early casting rumors for a live-action Legend of Zelda film, a surge of online chatter emerged around actor and model Hunter Schafer potentially being cast as Princess Zelda.
I love your inclusion of Christian morals into the mix, its a breath of fresh air compared to many people that either preach about freedom for everyone or just "conservatism". I would love to see even more in the future, especially for your Digimon videos but i know that i will have to be more patient given your current situation, God bless you.
Interesting that here you will bring biology and scripture into harmony with one another. But when you and I were discussing an edgier topic surrounding ethnicity, race and interbreeding; you decided that biology didn't matter and was a construct of modernity and paganism.
This was a good article, but it also highlights a blind spot that you have. You may say that in the case we discussed that biology contradicts scripture and thus you favor scripture. But I would rebut and say that if you interpret scripture to be at odds with reality (biology in this case) than your interpretation may be wrong.
"...In the Old Testament God told Israel not to marry other nations because those nations worshiped false gods. The focus was on protecting their faith. But faithful foreigners like Ruth and Rahab joined Israel and became part of Jesus’s family line. In the New Testament all ethnic and national divisions are broken down. Paul says in Galatians 3:28 that 'there is neither Jew nor Greek for we are all one in Christ.' The real command is that believers marry other believers. It is faith that unites us."
It helps to include the ENTIRE quote and not just the part that you want to strawman me with.
Ah hey man, I wasn't trying to strawman ya. I like you and the work you do. I just think you are in error in your interpretation of Galatians.
"In the New Testament all ethnic and national divisions are broken down."
This is the denial of the flesh. If you take Galatians 3:28 in this line of thought you would logically assert that when it also says, "there is neither male nor female", sex would break down also. This is not correct as I'm sure you would agree. That's because it is addressing Salvation and how we achieve it. Not the dissolution of race and, in the same line of reasoning, sex as it pertains to the world we live in; lived reality. Sex matters, and Nations, another word for race, matter. Lived reality and data and biology tells us it does. But in regard to Salvation it does not. Also the full context of Galatians 3 itself is a repudiation of old covenant law. This would null your point about Ruth and Rahab. There is no command to dissolve sex or the Nations anywhere.
3:26 says "For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus".
You don't have to marry into the Israelite tribe because that won't save you. Faith saves you, but the tribe still exists because reality says so, and God created reality. Reality is Creation. Yes, Faith is what unites us in our Salvation, but that doesn't mean other things that bind you to reality stop existing or being meaningful. That would make the Bible incoherent with creation, and it most certainly is not; barring miracles. But miracles in their exceptionalness do not negate the rule, they reinforce it.
I ain't even trying to be a dick man. Like I said, I like ya! But if I think you're wrong, and I'm pretty certain you are, I'll tell you because I do like you.
Sex is not an ethnic or national division. God made humans male and female.
Race (genetic differences) as a modern ethnic or national division is rooted in Darwinian paganism. It assumes concept of race as a biological destiny. This mode of thinking is deeply rooted in post-enlightenment thinking and popularized through evolutionary theory. It’s not the worldview of the Bible.
When Paul says there is “neither Jew nor Greek,” he’s not talking about race in the modern sense. He’s talking about covenant: full communion with God and each other.
Scripture teaches that all nations (ethnē) come from one man (Acts 17:26), and that any distinction that places one above another in the Kingdom is flattened by his death, resurrection, and ascension.
Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
It's in the same passage. The logic you apply to one must apply to the other two. If race and Nation is to be dissolved then so is class and sex. Which is absurd. To wish to break down these material bonds is to want to defy creation itself.
And again, it is not a prescription for a way to structure reality, or place anyone above another. It is about Salvation through Christ.
I'm very curious how the movie turns out and is received, but I plan on never watching it. The only live action LoZ rendition I want was already produced: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cjpHzLYHkwA

Stay mad you butchered slabs posing as 'people', staymad!

Remember to quote people. I have never said this about biology.
"I've always looked this not as a concern of biology and race but about faith. "Race" is a modern concept drawn from secular paganism of Dawrwinism."
