I was fortunate enough to be raised by my grandparents which gave me one extra generation of perspective on American culture. Looking back now to try to figure out what mistakes led to our long downward march into the devils arms, I sadly believe that the generation that fought WW2 and the Silent Generation before them bear significant responsibility. (They raised the Boomers. They created the UN, launching globalism to rival its equally devastating utopian rival: communism.)

I recall my grandmother's wisdom at the time of my own youth, and pretty much all of it was, "Avoid conflict as much as possible by not holding fast to any standards."

1. "Live and let live." A 100+ year mistake. Tolerance is for the weak. Tolerance is Stockholm Syndrome at the society level. Instead of recognizing that I lack the power to destroy evil, I "accept" it with my virtuous "tolerance." What a nice feeling... But, those who seek to conquer us do not tolerate our ways; why should we tolerate their ways in return? This is why Muslims pray in the street as an act of domination, and why Dearborn, MI now has noodle-type on their police uniforms (another act of domination).

2. "Everything in moderation." A 100+ year mistake, and another libertarian motto. Sometimes, the acceptable amount of something is 0. The acceptable amount of rape is 0. The acceptable amount of murder is 0. The acceptable amount of emotional abuse is 0. The acceptable amount of recreational opiates is 0.

I try my best not to countersignal people on the right even with quote tweets just cuz I want everyone to succeed even if I don't agree with them. But... I get attacked, then I reply.

I thought I got into a sperg-war with that dude a few Twitter accounts back. He's surely been more emotionally continent lately. But it's like Vox says about gammas: people's natures don't change. Thank you to Mister Of-The-Rice for your principled objection to his libertarian doormattery.

What Ya'll need is someone who's just in it to make money. đŸ˜‚

When the con is about ego's, idiots ruin things.

I think a panel debate between you and Mr. Kreose would have been based.

But, oh well. Maybe next century.

The thing is there's nothing to debate. He doesn't actually disagree with me he just wants to hate me and that would have been made obvious in a setting in person so he couldn't have it. It's really sad.

He has a very weak amygdala. He probably fears that JDA could say something and completely fry his amygdala for a moment and make him look stupid. Unfortunately, his protection efforts are not helping him that much.

I've thoroughly enjoyed Kroese's Mammon trilogy and his Iron Dragon series, so this was sad to read. Going straight to a public attack, assuming JDA isn't hiding anything here, is a red flag, as well as discourteous.

Me too. He's a really talented author and I'd much rather have a nice report on the con promoting him and his books. He's gone more unhinged on X today, sadly.

This is too bad. Kroese is someone whose work I've purchased, enjoyed, and recommended to others over the years - but that's something that this changes. I've literally not cared about his politics, didn't know them, etc - but I don't want to support those that are willing to tear down society rather than build it up.

Name brand D&D was Satanic since AD&D1. 74 D&D was fine and Basic Expert. But AD&D1 added real world demonology and demon summoning into the game and put a big red demon on the cover to convert kids to Satanism. And the trans movement is the result. They were trained to roleplay as demons and now they do it outside the game. Anyone acting like the "Satanic Panic" of the 80s was not justified is either a literal goober or a literal Satan worshiping tranny pusher.

Anyone who will get mad at this and say "I played AD&D1!" you probably just played the Basic Expert Set rules with the AD&D1 Monster Manual. So calm down. That's also what OSR clones tend to be.

I do hope they look back and see how childish they've been. It could have been a truly Based Con.
