It’s kind of amusing to contrast the Japanese reception between this latest Ass Creed debacle and Ghost of Tsushima.

What can Ubisoft do? They lie to their corporate and whale investors because they are on the edge with a AAA release that is drawing more PR flack than a magnet pulls iron filings. They can't repudiate their stance and fix the game or the wokelings inside and outside will eat them alive. If it doesn't get fixed, it might still create an international stink bomb, even if Japan takes no official stance on it.

Still enjoying the popcorn and extra salt over this debacle wrapped in a dumpster fire.

Sweet Baby Inc. strikes again? Ubisoft could have predicted that there would be a controversy. Egypt as a country sued Netflix when they created the fiction that Cleopatra was Black.

The thing which amused me the most was the movie 'The Woman King'. As well as actively participating in a slave trade which long preceded the arrival of Europeans, Dahomey was a centre for another common pre-colonial African practice- human sacrifice.

There is no way from development day 1 Ubisoft couldn't predict this. They just didn't care. I'm a long time AC fan but it ends with this. What a shame.
