I had no idea A Wild Sheep's Chase was the third novel of a trilogy. Clearly, I have more reading in front of me,

Nothing from Kobo Abe? Inter Ice Age 4 has some interesting things to say about AI, abortion, and "climate change".

Have a book you would recommend by him?

Inter Ice Age 4 is my personal favorite, but as an intro to Abe, the short story collection Beyond the Curve might serve you best.

Always enjoy starting an unknown author with their short stories.. That's how I first read murakami with "Men without women".

Thanks

I got distracted halfway thru runaway horses. Mishima is excellent though. Have read several of his other books my favorite being "Frolic of the beasts"

Will have to pick the series back up. It was really good just dense - there's basically a manifesto early on in the novel that was pretty tough to get through. Very interesting person outside of his work. Wonder where he falls in the SSH.. Seems kind of Omega to me?

Nice list, some authors I haven't heard of. Excited to find some copies. I haven't read that Murakami book either. Most recently finished the Wind/pinball novels which were great - his first novels I believe. Would recommend, they're quick reads. - edit didn't realize the Wild Sheep Chase was another book in this series. Definitely will read it.
