People pretend Elon Musk is intelligent. He's not intelligent; he is shrewd. He is also part of Clown World, albeit a rival faction.

We won a single round, a fight we should've been having for the last two decades. There's a long way to go. In fact some of us *were* fighting that fight, and all the libertarians and centrists were making fun of us and calling us haters. Now they've been inconvenienced, or seen too much nonsense to sit still, so they're in the fight too, but for how long? How much do they really care?

I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Yeah, it's definitely not dead until the people desperately funding it finally give it a rest. I think it's more that way more people are aware of it and mock it than they did a decade ago.

It's a premature victory lap. The long march through the institutions took generations and it will take at least as long to fix things. Also the price for freedom is constant vigilance.

Enron Musk purchased a successful social media site the same way he purchased a successful company to puppet. He has done great things with Twitter to make it more fun and I tend to go directly to the content creators I like rather than trust the algorithm which seems to somehow almost always lead to questionable content that most other social media sites ban and promotion of dead and obsolete ideologies like Nazism.

I think Voxday is right that Elon Musk is an actor in service to some group we may never be able to identify. At least we know his height as to compare to whether or not President Trump's body double is making an appearance.
