Well there’s nothing wrong with a gay guy writing Bond in principle. However, it seems like these days they just can’t help themselves with adding in a bunch of themselves to the story and ruining it. So this is a bad sign for Bond.
“If we make Bond gay, it’s going to ruin the franchise!”
I've never seen Kuritzkes movies so I don't know anything about his screenwriting abilities. His being gay isn't automatically a disqualification but a writers gayness seems to be the most important thing gay writers want to write about these days (see Russell T. Davies, who can't seem to write about anything else).
My bigger concern is his past work, the movies Challengers and Queer, are nothing like a James Bond movie and don't fill me with confidence he'll get what Bond is all about. Equally troubling is he seems to be a standard far-lefty (Brown undergrad, active in the "Occupy" movement) and I'm concerned that worldview will creep into his Bond.
Like Villeneuve, I grew up on Bond. My dad read all the Fleming books and took us to all the movies. I hope this isn't the end of Bond, but we'll see.
Buy it and pay for more.
Or... don't and thus choke off funding to these sickos and their globo-homo politics.
